The Billing & Usage page is where you monitor metered usage for the current billing period and review or change your organization’s plan. Subscription changes, invoices, and payment methods are handled through Stripe. Open it from the sidebar Admin section: Billing & Usage. The page subtitle reads “Monitor metered usage for this billing period, then review or change your plan.”
Only the organization owner can change plans, start checkout, cancel, or open the Stripe billing portal. Admins and members can view usage and plan details (a read-only banner appears for non-owners).
Inference runs on-device, free, forever. Synheart inference happens on the device, not in the cloud. You only pay for ingestion and storage, never for inference.

Plans

Plan names, prices, limits, and features are driven by the billing service, so the available tiers and pricing always reflect your account. The Available plans grid shows each plan with its price and feature bullets, plus a Current or Recommended badge. For each plan you’ll see an action button: Current Plan, Upgrade, Downgrade, or Contact Sales for custom or enterprise pricing. Plan feature lines cover ingestion events per month, API requests, storage capacity, data retention period, project and team-member limits, and additional entitlements such as Cloud Extended or Priority Support.

Change your plan

Choosing Upgrade or Downgrade starts Stripe Checkout (or swaps the plan in place for some changes). The Free tier is set directly. Enterprise plans are billed off-platform. “Your Enterprise plan is billed off-platform and managed by your account team.” After a successful change you’ll see a Subscription Successful! confirmation with the new status, current period, and subscription ID.

Current plan

The Current Plan card shows the active plan name and price, a status badge (such as active, trialing, or Cancels soon), and the current billing period dates.
  • Manage Billing & Subscription opens the Stripe Customer Portal for payment methods, invoices, plan changes, and resuming a scheduled cancellation.
  • Cancel subscription (or Request cancellation for Enterprise) starts the cancel flow.

Cancelling

The Why are you leaving? dialog asks for a Reason for cancellation (Too expensive, Missing features, Switching to a competitor, No longer needed, Other) and optional feedback before handing off to Stripe (or forwarding the request to your account team for Enterprise).
A scheduled cancellation keeps access until the period ends. To reverse it, open the Stripe portal and resume the subscription before the end date.

Usage meters

Three meters summarize usage for the current billing period:
MeterWhat it measuresDetail shown
IngestionIngested eventsEvents used this period, or Unlimited ingestion
StorageStored dataGB used, or Unlimited storage
SyniSyni messagesMessages used, or Unlimited Syni usage
Each meter shows a percentage used, or ∞ for unlimited plans.

Usage breakdown

A Usage breakdown section shows billed metrics for the period as KPI cards, covering HSI events ingested, Lab events ingested, storage used (displayed in GB), and Syni token usage (input and output combined). When Syni is in use, a Syni usage section breaks it down further: chat messages, sessions, tool executions, input/output tokens, and compute time.

Plan structure and metered usage

When a detailed overview is available, a Plan structure panel shows how many projects, tenants, apps, and team members are in use against your plan limits, with a health indicator (healthy, approaching, or exhausted). A metered-usage table lists each metric with units used, units included, and overage cost. A cost summary shows the base plan cost, overage charges, credits applied, and the total amount due.

Extra usage

The Extra usage panel lets you keep using Synheart after hitting a plan limit: “Turn on extra usage to keep using Synheart if you hit a plan limit.” Toggle Extra usage on to enable metered overage beyond your plan limits. You can also set a Monthly spend limit (the maximum overage amount before new requests are blocked), or leave it as No monthly cap for unlimited overage. Any available Credit balance is applied before charges appear on your invoice.
Overage, balance, and cost details are visible to the organization owner only. Metered charges appear on your Stripe invoice.

Team seats

When you’re at your team-member limit, Members offers an Add seat action that adds a seat to your next invoice. See Members & roles → Invite an organization member.

Invoices

The Recent invoices card lists your latest invoices with the invoice number, date, payment status, amount, and a link to view the hosted invoice or download a PDF. Open in Stripe opens the billing portal for your full invoice history.
Full invoice history, payment methods, and downloadable PDFs live in the Stripe billing portal; the dashboard shows only the most recent invoices.
