Search at synapse.synheart.ai finds answers in your organization’s knowledge. Every result is an excerpt with a link to where it came from. It’s the same search your coding agent runs with the MCP tool recall, run as you.
This page used to be called Ask, at /ask. Old links that carry a search (/ask?q=…) open Search with the same query. Ask is now the page for what your agents checked with you.

What it searches

Only sources an admin has chosen under Connectors → Knowledge sources (see Set up your team):
  • repository documentation;
  • a Notion workspace;
  • a Google shared drive;
  • OneDrive folders that members chose as knowledge;
  • public Slack channels.
Decisions your organization has recorded are labelled as decisions in the results. Results open in their source: Open in Notion, Open in Google Drive, Open in Slack and so on.

How results are found

Search is hybrid. It combines keyword matching with semantic matching, which finds documents that mean the same thing in different words. Each result shows the excerpt that matched. Keyword-only results. If the semantic part is unavailable, Search still returns keyword matches and says Keyword-only results right now. A document that uses different words from your query may be missing until semantic search is back. Try the words the document itself would use.

Who sees what

Search only returns what you’re allowed to see. Each document keeps the audience it has at the source, and every search filters on it, as do your agent’s recall, why and related_context. A document whose audience can’t be worked out is withheld rather than shown. Permissions are read again when a source syncs, so access removed at the source is removed from Search after the next sync.
